Once crowned as the best car in Europe, finally the Nissan Motor Company Limited officially launched the Leaf in Japan. Nissan became the third principal in the automotive world pure electric cars market to the market after the previous Mitsubishi i-MiEV and General Motors, Chevrolet Volt thrusting. Nissan Leaf premiere will begin to be distributed to dealers throughout Japan December 20 next. Following then, the United States in December as well, followed by Europe next year.

According to Shiga, “The Leaf” in Japan should be priced 3,764,250 yen. But, since an electric car, Leaf obtain tax incentives from the government to 780,000 yen in force during the 2010 fiscal year (1 April 2010-31 March 2011) so that the lower the price up to 2,984,250 yen.
While the i-MiEV electric car priced U.S. $ 34,000, while the Chevrolet Volt rewarded 41,000 U.S. dollars. Other incentives earned Leaf in Japan is tax-free purchases and weight of the vehicle until fiscal year 2011, as awards from the government for promoting environmentally friendly vehicles. The proof, until the day of the launch of the Nissan had record orders from Japan 6,000 units and 20,000 units in the U.S..
Well, to improve comfort and security of the use of Leaf, Nissan also offers post-sale to customers. For individual customers, this program is titled “Zero-emission Nissan Support Programme” with various facilities, among others, discounted services, emergency assistance, free charging the battery at Nissan dealerships, and regular maintenance. As for consumer companies (fleet), a similar package is also given, namely “Nissan EV Fleet Maintenance Service“.
